Joachim Knopf will take over as Managing Director of the Taurus Systems GmbH on September 1, 2019, succeeding Helmut Hederer, who will retire at the beginning of 2020. Knopf has held various management positions at MBDA and Bayern-Chemie – also an MBDA company. Since 2012 he has been CFO of Bayern-Chemie’s finance division. Knopf will report to Jürgen Wlodarz, Head of Programmes and Procurement at MBDA Germany.
“Helmut Hederer has worked for MBDA and its predecessors and subsidiaries for 35 years. With his commitment and competence, he has made a decisive contribution to the success of our company. I wish him all the best for this new phase of his life and would like to express my sincere thanks for his exemplary commitment,” said Wlodarz. “I am delighted to have won Joachim Knopf as his successor. I am sure that, thanks to his many years of management experience, he will continue his successful work and at the same time set new accents.”
