DSE Vietnam 2019, the 1st Tri-Service Defence & Security Exhibition, was successfully launched from October 2 to 4, 2019, at the International Center for Exhibition in Hanoi. The organizers stated that the success of the show opens a new page in the Indo-China defence procurement.

The exposition covered a total area of 4,500 m2 to present 125 exhibitors from 28 countries showcasing over 2,000 products in the field of advanced defence, homeland security and double purpose technologies. The exhibition and conference attracted 4,280 professional visitors from 50 countries, including 137 VIP guests.

Top officials from the Ministry of National Defence and the Ministry of Public Security including Senior Lieutenant General Be Xuan Truong, Deputy Minister of National Defence and Senior Lieutenant General Bui Van Nam, Deputy Minister of Public Security, were present during the event.

The most impressive exposition was presented by the Russian Rosoboronexport, a traditional supplier of defence related technology and hardware to Vietnam. The exposition highlights included a variety of armoured systems from Uralvagonzavod, naval vessels from Ak Bars Shipbuilding corporation, SPLAV MLRS and Kalashnikov, just to name a view of the 20 companies from Russia. Russia also sent the largest delegation with almost 90 persons.

Other impressive national expositions were presented by the Republic of Singapore, France, Israel, Slovakia, Ukraine and the Socialist Republic Vietnam itself. Several countries were presented by separate booths including those from the Republic of Korea, PR China, Poland, United States, UK, Germany, Brazil, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan among the many.

The show is going to become a traditional event to be run on the first week of October in uneven years.
