Representatives of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense and the Turkish Commission on Defense-Industrial Cooperation signed an intergovernmental protocol on further steps to implement joint projects in the field of armaments and defense technology. Both countries also set priorities for 2020.
“7th meeting of the Joint Ukrainian – Turkish Commission on Defense-Industrial Cooperation took place in the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine,” the Ukrainian MoD reported. “The main purpose of the meeting was to agree on prospects and further steps for implementation of joint projects in the field of armaments and military equipment, within the framework of the development of the Ukrainian-Turkish strategic partnership. During the meeting, the parties defined priorities for 2020, in order to establish effective cooperation between the defense industries of Ukraine and Turkish Republic. The result of the meeting was the signing of the Intergovernmental Protocol, which secures reached agreements.”
