TÜMOSAN AS Chairman Nuri Albayrak announced that they will soon launch an engine with 750 bhp. The company has already produced engines with 115, 350 and 530 bhp, but the goal is to reach beyond 1000 bhp. With new agreements TÜMOSAN will supply about 100 engines for the Turkish Armed Forces this year. The demand for new engines for the Turkish Armed Forces is over 5,000.

On December 25, 2019 an agreement was signed between FNSS and TÜMOSAN in the presence of ASELSAN for FNSS to supply 100 Special Purpose Wheeled Armoured Combat Vehicles in 8×8 and 6×6 versions using TÜMOSAN engines. The project duration from delivery is 5 years. In addition, in January 2020, the Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) subsidiary, Turkish Engine Industries (TEI) delivered some two dozen “National Engines PD170” propulsion units for Turkish UAVs with the objective to produce larger motors.

Turkey relies on speed in engine development because of the export strength of its military equipment.
