German company Hensoldt is working with Danish company MyDefence on a drone defence system for a Southeast Asian customer.

This system consists of a Hensoldt Spexer 360 radar and MyDefence’s Watchdog 200 networked direction finding radio frequency UAV detector (WD200) and command and control alarm system. Integrated into an anti-drone vehicle, it is designed to monitor the challenging airspace in urban areas.

The Counter-UAS Suite developed by Hensoldt and MyDefence enables the user to view a threat detected by the system on a map with an overlay of selected zones. An alarm is immediately displayed on the server screen.

The modular Xpeller system from Hensoldt has proven its performance capabilities on several occasions in 2019: in monitoring the G7 summit in Biarritz, protecting the Paris Air Show in Le Bourget and securing the French National Parade in Paris on July 14. MyDefence RF sensors have been in service with military and civilian customers since 2015 and have protected the largest number of U.S. Army soldiers in rural and urban conflict areas.
