General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc (GA-ASI) has partnered with Australian firm Conflux Technology on the development of a heat exchanger being developed using a metal additive manufacturing process for possible integration onto GA-ASI’s line of Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS) in order to increase their performance. The involvement of this Victoria based firm, which specialises in thermal and fluid engineering, comes after the Australian Government recently selected GA-ASI’s MQ-9B SkyGuardian variant to provided an armed RPAS to the Australian Defence Force under Project Air 7003.
