First A400M Delivered to Belgium

Belgium has become the eighth user of the A400M transport aircraft after taking over aircraft MSN106 on 22 December 2020. The country joins the other operator nations: France, Turkey, the UK, Germany, Spain and Luxembourg. Malaysia is the only export customer so far with four aircraft. Belgium will receive its second aircraft in early 2021 and operate it together with Luxembourg’s only A400M in the binational 15th Air Transport Squadron at Melsbroek base.  Germany will be the largest A400M user with 53 aircraft on order. On 4 December 2020, the Luftwaffe received its 36th A400M.
