COHEMO has been awarded a contract for the maintenance of the CENTAURO fleet of combat vehicles operated by the Spanish Army. This work, to be carried out alongside another Spanish industrial partner, will cover a period of two years, extending it until December 2022. The contract is worth €4.5M and will be carried for the Army’s Cavalry units.
The contract covers everything from vehicle and system maintenance to training courses and obsolescence analysis. The agreement also includes technical assistance for vehicles deployed in the areas of operation. The tender has been managed by the Economic Affairs Department of the Army’s Logistics Support Command (MALE) based on offers submitted by several contenders, following which the proposal of the COHEMO team was selected as the preferred bid, both in terms of quality and price.
The budget for the contract is divided into three annual shares of €1.5M each. Depending on whether or not a respective option for a three-year contract extension is exercised, the volume could grow to €7.5M in total (before taxes).
