General Atomics Aeronautical Systems (GA-ASI) has secured nine prime positions on the new General Services Administration (GSA) Federal Systems Integration Management Centre (FEDSIM) ASTRO – a multiple award, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract vehicle geared towards the needs of the Department of Defense and the US military.
The contract vehicle’s scope includes
- Operations
- Maintenance
- Readiness
- Research and Development (R&D)
- Hardware
- Systems integration of manned, unmanned, and optionally manned systems
- Robotics
- Services that support those systems and platforms within the Intelligence, Surveillence & Reconaissance mission
There is no ceiling value assigned to ASTRO and associated contracts are projected to support a 10-year ordering period. GA-ASI secured prime positions in nine of the 10 available pools:

- Maritime
- Development and Systems Integration
- R&D
- Support
- Training
