Shri Atul Dinkar Rane has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of BrahMos Aerospace – the India-Russia JV producing the BRAHMOS supersonic cruise missile system.
Shri Rane is a graduate in Electronics and Communication Engineering and a post graduate in Guided Missiles from the University of Poona. He joined India’s Defence Research and Development Organisation in 1987, where he supported various indigenously developed missile projects including the AKASH surface-to-air and the AGNI-I missile systems.
Rane has been a core team member of the BrahMos Aerospace management right from the company’s foundation. He also spent several years as a Counsellor of Defence Technology at the Embassy of India in Moscow.
