Turkish land systems manufacturer Otokar is exhibiting its ARMA 6×6 wheeled armoured vehicle and COBRA II tactical armoured vehicle at the Defence Services Asia (DSA) exhibition in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

According to Otokar’s General Manager Serdar Görgüç, the Asia Pacific region is particularly important for the company, with a number of countries successfully operating vehicles from Otokar. We aim to expand our activities in the region in order to meet the existing and future requirements of our clients. In this context, we focus on collaboration opportunities including local production models through transfer of technology at DSA”, Görgüc said at the exhibition.

The ARMA 6×6 is a wheeled modular armoured vehicle offering high mobility, mine and ballistic protection, as well as medium and high-calibre weapon system integration options. ARMA comes with an optional amphibious variant for peacekeeping and humanitarian aid operations.

According to Otokar, COBRA II offers a high level of protection, payload capacity, and large internal volume. COBRA II also comes with the capacity to accommodate 10 personnel including the driver and commander. The modular structure of COBRA II also makes the vehicle a flexible platform to operate as a:

  • personnel carrier
  • weapons platform
  • ground surveillance radar
  • CBRN reconnaissance vehicle
