Embraer and the Brazilian Army have signed a contract to develop and implement Phase Two of the Army’s programme for the Integrated Border Monitoring System (SISFRON). The announcement was made at the Feria Internacional del Aire y del Espacio 2022 exhibition in Chile. Among the world’s largest border surveillance projects, SISFRON aims to protect Brazil’s borders, covering an extension of 16,886 kilometres across ten bordering countries, Embraer writes in a press release.

According to Embraer, SISFRON implements a sensing and command and control structure in support of land operation while enhancing the performance of other government entities with responsibilities over this area.
