At Euronaval in Paris, Le Bourget, Seafuture invited the general public to its eighth edition. Seafuture is a business congress on maritime dual use organised in Italy by Italian Blue Growth in collaboration with the Italian Navy.

Seafuture was present at Euronaval with its own stand in the Italian pavilion, and the official presentation of Seafuture 2023 took place at the Fincantieri stand. The official presentation was attended by Cristiana Pagni, Chairman of Italian Blue Growth, the Chief of Staff of the Navy, Admiral Enrico Credendino, the Deputy Secretary General of the Ministry of Defense, Admiral Pier Federico Bisconti, and the CEO of Fincantieri, Dr. Pier Roberto Folgiero.

The eighth edition of Seafuture will be held at the La Spezia naval base from 5-8 June, 2023. Seafuture 2021 was characterized by a strong international presence and a high number of foreign delegations, and many international companies have already confirmed their participation in Seafuture 2023. The topics discussed at Seafuture are driven by international events. Topics include the free, shared and sustainable use of the maritime environment, from the surface to the seabed; technological developments with particular reference to emerging research areas such as cybersecurity, unmanned vessels and underwater vehicles; logistics and infrastructure that need to be redesigned to ensure “blue growth,” to guarantee sustainable development. The UN strongly advocates for a “Decade of the Sea” and recommends taking a blue approach to research on maritime issues.
