Bridging mounted and dismounted soldiers

The ability to maintain continuous communication within a team or a broader C2 situation is both a great advantage and necessity. Time-sensitive information must be delivered reliably to its destination, in any environment and at any time.

Communications in deployed vehicles is traditionally difficult during critical ops or crises – often complicated by expensive and heavy intercom systems, limited dismounted communication, and incompatible headsets.

INVISIO’s Intercom System brings unprecedented capabilities when used in combination with its latest generation of communication system for the dismounted soldier. Connecting with existing on-board communication systems is easy, and the result is uninterrupted communication bridging the mounted and dismounted soldiers and crew.

Being small and lightweight, the INVISIO Intercom system offers a high degree of flexibility and portability. Low unit weight means remote teams can hot swap the intercom between vehicles e.g., in a backpack.

The highly mobile intercom is already being used on RHIBS, in light tactical vehicles, helicopters and other airframes and land vehicles. Its adaptable configuration allows for every foreseeable use.

For larger personnel groups or vehicles, the INVISIO’s Intercom System is easily daisy-chained to ensure reliable field communications essential to enable full situational awareness across the deployed force.

Modular and scalable communication systems

INVISIO communication and hearing protection systems are modular with outstanding flexibility and can be tailored for specific missions or needs. The soldier system comprises a headset, an advanced PTT and an intelligent cable that automatically detects the connected devices.

To ensure the most natural hearing possible under extreme conditions, INVISIO uses the latest digital signal processing, artificial intelligence, miniaturised audio components, and ergonomic headset designs. INVISIO’s system has many possibilities with its different headsets – even whether sky- or wet-diving.

To maintain situational awareness, the INVISIO 360° Hear-Through is available in different modes: Enhanced Hearing for super-natural hearing in quiet environments; Natural Hearing, in which miniaturised loudspeakers and microphones reproduce the sound naturally; and, Comfort Hearing, which improves speech intelligibility and reduces ambient noise.

INVISIO headsets offers market-leading hearing protection. The INVISIO X5 in-ear headset and the INVISIO T7 over-the-ear headset are an outstanding combination in the field. Such double-hearing protection insulates up to 42 dB while allowing 360° ambient noise perception.

INVISIO control units/PTTs vary, from a single com variant to a triple com that connects a diverse communication means, such as fielded military radios, SATCOM, and intercom systems. All INVISIO control units are compatible with each other and allow simple connectivity with application-oriented equipment.

The latest generation of control units, the INVISIO V-Series Gen II, provides an expanded functional range for effortless operation has Dual-Net capable com ports; uses voice prompts; removes constant radio noise, and offers customized options such as VOX functionality and radio relay.

INVISIO’s latest generation of control units and in-ear headsets not only improve on previous models with traditional technology advancements, but also incorporate artificial intelligence to improve sound quality and speech intelligibility far beyond levels previously achieved.

The functionality of the control units is enhanced by the patented connection cable technology IntelliCable®, ensuring auto-detection of all connected devices.

High noise protection in vehicles

Racal Acoustics’ powerful portfolio became part of INVISIO Group in 2021. Its heavy headsets are specially designed for use in deafening conditions and support military personnel worldwide in the extreme operational environments. The Racal headsets are ideal for riding in tracked or wheeled vehicles, aircrafts, and many other ear-splitting situations.
