German connector system supplier ODU has recently highlighted the capabilities of its AMC Series T products.

The ODU AMC Series T was developed for military and security applications and offers three compatible locking variants: push-pull, break-away and thread-lock. Depending on the situation, the locking requirements are different. The thread-lock screw lock is particularly suitable for applications that have to deal with extremely strong vibrations. The break-away mechanism is designed to release the connection with manual force, allowing quick and easy disconnection in critical situations. The push-pull mechanism locks reliably in the device part and the ball-lock system provides additional support so that interference-free data transmission can be guaranteed.

The ODU AMC Series T was developed so that emergency personnel can quickly and easily clean the connectors and replace interfaces even in the field under extreme conditions and stress. Five-finger and colour coding prevents mismating of connections. Different transmission variants can be individually configured even in the smallest installation space. The robust housings are waterproof up to IP6K9K with submersibility up to 20 m for a duration of two hours.

The ODU AMC Series T meets the requirements of MIL Standard 38999 and also offers additional advantages. The connectors are certified according to MIL-STD-1472 and MIL-STD-810 and can meet requirements at temperature extremes of -65° to +175° C or amid strong vibrations.
