NFM presented the THOR Modular Combat Vest System Light Weight (MCVS-LW) on its stand yesterday. It is an individual load bearing and ballistic protection vest, designed specifically for military (and law enforcement) personnel who prioritise low weight, athletic fit, and quick water drainage – ideal for expeditionary / special forces. THOR MCVS-LW ensures comfort, low-body burden modularity, light weight, and functionality in diverse operational environments. The THOR MCVS-LW is constructed from laser-cut, flame retardant, hydrophobic, colourfast laminates. These material characteristics permit integration and increased functionalities such as a pouch attachment interface. The Omega material used in the vest excels in water operations, ensuring the wearer feels no added weight when exiting the water as the THOR MCVS-LW design permits rapid drainage.
