Italy’s Iveco Defence Vehicles (IDV) and German automotive specialist RENK Group have signed a co-operation agreement aimed at evaluating the potential of IDV and RENK drive technologies for future combat platforms, the companies announced on 2 August 2024.
The aim of the agreement is to share the know-how and experience of both parties in the development and manufacturing of powertrain solutions, technologies and equipment.
“This co-operation agreement is an important step enabling both parties to actively contribute to accelerating the tracked vehicle programmes for their customers,” IDV stated in a press release. “It also addresses the need to strengthen the European supply chain and increase production capacity.”
