Augsburg, June 3, 2026 – RENK Group AG, a leading provider of propulsion solutions for the military sector, will showcase at Eurosatory 2026 in Paris how its NextGen Mobility technology and innovation agenda is shaping the future of military ground mobility.
As armed forces prepare for increasingly complex operational environments, mobility requirements are changing fundamentally. Future platforms must operate with greater efficiency, lower detectability, higher power availability, and increasing levels of digitalisation and autonomy. As a result, mobility systems are evolving beyond their traditional mechanical function and becoming a critical enabler of operational effectiveness.
NextGen Mobility: preparing for the battlefield of tomorrow
At Eurosatory 2026, RENK will present a portfolio designed to address these evolving requirements across tracked and wheeled platforms. “The question NATO armed forces and OEMs are asking today is how to field platforms that remain operational and relevant as the battlespace evolves,” says Dr. Alexander Sagel, CEO of RENK Group AG. “The answer starts with the drivetrain. Future-ready platforms require solutions that combine proven battlefield performance with digital control readiness, hybrid-electric capability, and a credible upgrade path that can be delivered at industrial scale. RENK demonstrates its approach to this challenge at Eurosatory.”
At the centre of the RENK booth is a full-scale unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) concept developed jointly with the defence and technology company Patria. The concept combines Patria’s modular TRACKX platform with RENK’s HSWL 076 transmission and demonstrates how future mobility solutions can support digitally controlled vehicle operations, drive-by-wire functionality, and future manned-unmanned teaming concepts.
The HSWL 076 represents RENK’s latest generation of drivetrain technology for the 10 to 20 tonne vehicle class. Developed to support future requirements in military ground mobility, the system combines key mobility functions within a compact digital architecture and provides the foundation for future developments in drive-by-wire operation, manned-unmanned teaming, and autonomous platform concepts.
Expanding mobility solutions for wheeled platforms
RENK is also presenting the new ESM 280 transmission for medium to heavy wheeled armoured vehicles. The product marks RENK’s entry into the wheeled transmission market and extends the company’s drivetrain expertise beyond tracked platforms. The ESM 280 transfers proven military transmission technology into a segment that has traditionally relied on civilian-derived solutions.
The breadth of RENK’s product portfolio underscores the company’s ambition to be a mobility partner for armed forces and vehicle manufacturers worldwide. This is also reflected in its presence at Eurosatory: In addition to drivetrain technologies, RENK will showcase advanced running gear and suspension systems as well as electrification solutions for military vehicle platforms.
At Eurosatory, RENK also highlights an important milestone that will be reached in June 2026: the production start of its 4,000th HSWL 354 transmission at the Augsburg site.
RENK Group AG will exhibit at Eurosatory 2026 from 15–19 June in Hall 6, Booth J280.
