According to a statement by the Lithuanian Defence Ministry, the country has again ordered G36 assault rifles from Heckler & Koch, thus supplementing the existing stock. According to the contract concluded by the Lithuanian Defence Materiel Agency on 30 September, the contract has a value of approximately €19M, with the rifles to be delivered between 2022 and 2023. Since 2003, the G36 has been the standard rifle of the Lithuanian Armed Forces in various versions.
