The US Army’s AH-64 APACHE attack helicopters will be equipped with Integrated Helmet and Display Sight Systems (IHADSS) from Elbit System of America. Elbit reports that it has signed an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) framework contract with the US Army worth a maximum of US$76M (equivalent to €66M) with a term of five years. A first delivery order covers deliveries for US$6M (€5.2M) within the next two years.
The IHADSS puts critical information right in front of the pilot’s eye, providing APACHE pilots with a reliable solution that ensures mission success and crew safety during flight, Elbit writes.
In addition Elbit Systems of America supplies the multicore mission processor for the APACHE AH-64E model, which provides all the functions of the APACHE on-board systems.
