Command and control (C2) solutions provider Systematic has received a contract from the German Federal Office of Bundeswehr Equipment, Information Technology, and In-Service Support (BAAINBw) for add-ons to its SitaWare Headquarters C4ISR software, the company announced on 1 August 2023.

Under the contract Systematic will provide its Maritime and Fusion add-ons to SitaWare Headquarters as part of the German Mission Network Block 2 (GMN 2) project. This will help the German Navy to improve its C2 capability by developing its recognised maritime picture (RMP) and facilitating its overall operational efficiency.

Systematic’s Sitaware Headquarters and IRIS military messaging products are already in use in Germany as part of the Mission Enabling Service Bundeswehr (MESBw).

According to Systematic, SitaWare Maritime “ensures a field-proven and future-proof C2 solution that exceeds much of the functionality of in-services systems. Designed for the maritime domain, it supports national headquarters, afloat commanders, individual ships as well as boarding teams, rigid-hull inflatable boats, and mobile coastal units.”

SitaWare Fusion, meanwhile, ensures that high volumes of gathered data are correlated and fused to provide timely, next-level decision support.
