Rheinmetall receives another major order for artillery ammunition

A NATO customer has placed an order with Rheinmetall for the supply of artillery ammunition worth almost EUR 300 million, Rheinmetall announced on 24 May 2024.

The order comprises several tens of thousands of artillery shells and several hundred thousand propellant charge modules, with deliveries taking place between 2024 and 2028.

The name of the customer was not divulged.

The need to replenish the ammunition stocks of Western armed forces as a result of supplying munitions to Ukraine has brought Rheinmetall major orders in the field of artillery ammunition.

“The new orders once again emphasise Rheinmetall’s leading technological position in ammunition development and production in Europe,” the company stated in a press release.
