Maximum Precision Thanks to GTD chaser^V

In the heart of the Leopard 2 and upcoming versions, the GTD chaser^V stabilization technology developed by VINCORION ensures that the gun always remains precisely aligned, even at high vehicle speeds and when moving over difficult terrain. “Thanks to the GTD chaser^V, the gunner can accurately aim at targets even under difficult conditions – maximizing the probability of a first hit,” explains Daniel Zeitler, head of product management at VINCORION. The system is based on preconfigured modules that offers a number of advantages, such as its ability to be adapted to the needs of the user and the configuration of the vehicle, while the implementation times are reduced to a minimum. Furthermore, simplified maintenance and active obsolescence management also reduce life cycle costs.

Performance and Reliability

In addition to stabilization technology, VINCORION also supplies key components for the Leopard 2’s power supply. These include the generator, digital controller, auxiliary power units (APUs), and scavenge blowers. “Our components ensure that the vehicle always has a reliable supply of power, even during demanding missions,” says Zeitler. The company offers a complete range of high- and low voltage generators to meet modern vehicles’ growing energy requirements.

These innovative components can also be found in other armored vehicles, such as the Boxer. The new EPG husky^V W 600 generator for the onboard power supply provides the necessary energy for the Boxer and its various mission modules. With a current capacity of up to 600 amps, the EPG husky^V W 600 provides around 50% more onboard power in comparison to its predecessor.
