Lockheed Martin has appointed Dr Dennis Goege as vice president and chief executive for Europe, succeeding Jonathan Hoyle CBE, who announced his decision to retire earlier this year. Reporting to Ray Piselli, vice president for International Business, the appointment is effective from 1 October 2024.

Since joining the company from the German Aerospace Centre (DLR) in 2020, Goege has provided strategic oversight and leadership for Lockheed Martin’s rapid business growth for products in the air, land, naval and space sectors across central and east Europe and led the development and sustainment of partnerships with industry and academia.

“Dennis is an accomplished and experienced leader in the defence and security sector. His visionary approach, strategic mindset, and passion for excellence will ensure the continuation of our growth in Europe, where Lockheed Martin has been a strategic partner for the defence and security of NATO and its allies for more than 75 years.” Piselli was quoted as saying in a company press release.

As Goege steps into his new role, Rome-based Emanuele Serafini becomes vice president and regional executive for western Europe, reporting to Goege from 1 October. Serafini joined Lockheed Martin in 2018 and was previously director and regional lead for southern Europe.

Meanwhile, Paul Livingston, vice president and chief executive of Lockheed Martin UK, sees his role expand beyond UK shores to include responsibility for NATO, where he will provide focused senior direction for the company’s ongoing engagements with NATO stakeholders.
