Embraer closed out 2024 with additional orders for a total of 10 A-29 Super Tucano aircraft, although the Brazilian manufacturer declined to name the clients.

On 30 December 2024 Embraer announced a firm order for six A-29 Super Tucano light attack and advanced trainer aircraft, with deliveries scheduled for 2026. These aircraft, Embraer stated, “will be equipped with enhanced capabilities to perform missions such as battlefield air interdiction, close air support, maritime patrol, maritime strike and other territorial defence operations”.

Then, on the following day, Embraer announced a contract covering the sale of four A-29 Super Tucano light attack and advanced trainer aircraft to an undisclosed customer in Africa. These aircraft, Embraer stated, “will perform a wide spectrum of missions such as border surveillance; intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR); close air support; counter-insurgency [missions] and advanced flight training”.

It is possible that the African customer is Morocco, given that the Moroccan government agreed a memorandum of understanding with Embraer at the end of October to launch potential joint projects in the Moroccan aerospace industry.

When Embraer announced on 27 December 2024 that it had signed a contract that day for the sale of two C-390 Millennium multi-mission aircraft to an undisclosed customer, that may also have been Morocco.

In 2024 Embraer announced new sales of the Super Tucano to the Portuguese, Uruguayan and Paraguayan air forces, meaning that the type has been sold to 21 separate countries (although it is unlikely the current Afghan government will be able to operate the A-29s delivered to the country prior to the Taliban takeover there).
