Holger Schlegel has become managing director of PLATH Signal Products, jointly managing the Hamburg-based company with Tronje Schneider-Pungs, the company announced on 1 September 2025.
Schlegel brings many years of experience in specialist and management positions within the industry to his new role. Most recently, he spent four years as managing director and chief operating officer of the Innovation Centre for Telecommunications (IZT), where his responsibilities included driving the expansion of the business areas in the field of radio surveillance and communications and signals intelligence technologies, overseeing product development and, as head of the development department, ensuring the continuous development of new technologies and high-quality software solutions in the field of radio surveillance.
Prior to that, he was head of radio surveillance at the same company for 13 years and project manager and hardware system developer for three years. His profile is rounded off by positions at the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) in London and the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits.
On his appointment, which was effective on 1 September, Schlegel stated in a company press release, “I am delighted to be able to contribute my many years of experience in the industry as managing director at PLATH Signal Products. I am confident that Mr Schneider-Pungs and me, together with the motivated and highly qualified team, will continue the success story. I believe the company is excellently positioned in the market and very well placed to consistently continue its growth course as a specialist for radio direction finders, radio receivers and precise, highly sensitive antennas.”
