Aselsan announced on 21 October 2025 that its Murad 110-A active electronically scanned-array (AESA) fire control radar has completed its first flight on a Bayraktar Kızılelma carrier-capable unmanned combat air vehicle (UCAV).
The Murad 110-A AESA radar provides agile electronic beam steering, multi-target detection and tracking, and beyond-visual-range missile guidance in air-to-air and air-to-ground modes for both manned and unmanned air platforms.
Prior to installation on the jet-powered Kızılelma UCAV, it was integrated onto the Bayraktar Akıncı high-altitude long-endurance (HALE) UCAV in 2024, with the first flight on an Akıncı taking place in February 2025, followed by multiple test flights to validate its radar functions.
With integration and a successful first flight on the Kızılelma UCAV now completed, Aselsan asserts that the Murad 110-A radar has confirmed its adaptability to different aerial platforms and readiness for operational deployment.
Designed for modern aerial warfare, the Murad 100-A “combines wide frequency coverage, distinguished detection performance, gallium-nitride-based power amplification, digital beam forming at the sub-array level, and time-interleaved operation, ensuring precise and reliable performance in both air-to-air and air-to-ground scenarios”, Aselsan stated.
