Emirati defence technology house EDGE Group announced on 24 November 2025, following the closing of the 2025 Dubai Airshow, that it had firmed up an order from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) government for 50 Omen hover-to-cruise unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

The Omen UAV, which will be produced in the UAE by the EDGE-Anduril Production Alliance joint venture, was one of 42 new products launched by EDGE at the 2025 Dubai Airshow. This has taken the overall EDGE product portfolio to over 250 solutions: an increase of 733% since the group was launched in 2019.

EDGE also reported that its signed 21 agreements at the 2025 Dubai Airshow. These included a major co-operation agreement with Indonesia’s Republikorp that will result in a landmark USD 7 billion (EUR 6 billion) contract with the
Indonesian Armed Forces: EDGE Group’s largest international deal to date.

Other accords signed included a partnership with Spain’s Indra to support European defence programmes; an agreement that brings closer the establishment of a joint venture with Leonardo, and various deals with significant global defence companies including L3Harris, Lockheed Martin, Korea Aerospace Industries, Hanwha Aerospace, Aselsan and Magnaghi Aerospace Group.

Two years will fly by quickly and at [Dubai Airshow] 2027 we are confident that EDGE will again shake-up the status quo and astound the industry with its latest advancments.”

EDGE Group is currently active in over 100 countries and has recorded annual revenues of approximately USD 4.9 billion, with an international order backlog of USD 21.1 billion; 76% of total sales in 2025, approximately USD 3.7 billion, were exports.

The group now employs 17,900 employees in 95 countries.
