Milrem Robotics have announced the delivery of an unspecified quantity of THeMIS Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGVs) in the casualty evacuation (CASEVAC) and supply transportation configuration to Ukraine.

Milrem stated that the CASEVAC variant was fitted with stretchers and was delivered to a Ukrainian charity organisation, along with onsite training in the operation of the system. According to the company, the THeMIS UGV has an open architecture, enabling it to be rapidly reconfigured to suit various functions, including transport function to ordnance disposal or supporting intelligence operations.

THeMIS UGVs have been acquired by 16 countries so far, of which eight are NATO members. These include:

  • Norway
  • Spain
  • the UK
  • the US.
