Israeli loitering munition (LM) specialist UVision announced on 6 February 2025 that it has signed a strategic partnership agreement with fellow Israeli firm Omnisys. The accord is focused on integrating Omnisys’ BRO (Battle Resource Optimisation) suite of systems with UVision’s Hero LM family to deliver a comprehensive battlefield management system.
The combat-proven BRO systems are designed to ensure mission success through optimised decision making and management by mission commanders and planners, enabling maximum effectiveness in operational missions by optimising system deployment and operation in relation to enemy and theatre terrain.
During the mission planning and executions phases, the BRO systems calculate optimised routes and transfer data to UVision’s command-and-control system, enabling the management of multiple Hero LMs simultaneously. The optimisation of the mission planning elements achieved through this collaboration allows precise allocation of munitions to targets, optimising parameters like target type, location, flight altitudes and trajectories, warhead type, other effectors and payloads, weather conditions and mapping data.
Integrating the Omnisys BRO system with UVision’s Hero LMs thus reduces the human error factor, boosts success rates through optimised target engagement, and strengthens force protection by enabling remote mission management. Such a combined solution “also reduces the cognitive burden on operators, allowing them to concentrate on strategic decisions and maximise combat performance and productivity”, UVision noted.
