Elbit Systems announced on 11 August 2025 that it has been awarded two contracts worth an aggregate amount of around USD 260 million (EUR 224 million) for the supply of advanced airborne munitions to the Israel Ministry of Defense (IMOD).

The company did not specify what these munitions are, but Elbit makes a number of air-launched bombs, bomb guidance kits, missiles and rockets. Its precision munitions include the Delilah cruise missile, Rampage long-range supersonic air-to-ground precision strike missile, the Lizard family of modular bomb guidance kits, the Range Extension and Smart Tail (REST) bomb guidance kit and the GATR laser-guided 70 mm rocket.

However, in a company press release Elbit Systems President and CEO Butzi Machlis referred to the orders being for “newly developed products”, which he said he believed would “attract interest from armies around the world, given their relevance to emerging operational needs”.
