Israeli fire control specialist Smartshooter announced on 11 August 2025 that it has received a substantial order for hundreds of Smash 3000 fire control systems from an Asia-Pacific customer. The systems will be deployed for both counter-small unmanned aircraft system (C-sUAS) missions and the precision engagement of ground targets.

Smartshooter stated that the new order followed a period of thorough operational use-case evaluation and testing by the unnamed customer, asserting that the customer “expressed high satisfaction with the system’s performance”.

Smash 3000 is Smartshooter’s lightest handheld-operated fire control system. By leveraging artificial intelligence, computer vision and advanced tracking algorithms, it enables tactical forces to detect, track and precisely eliminate aerial and ground threats.

“Smash 3000 provides a reliable, combat-proven hard-kill solution against drones/sUASs while significantly increasing hit probability in any combat scenario,” the company stated.

Combat-proven and operational with forces in the United States, Israel, Europe, the UK and additional NATO nations, the Smash family of fire control systems includes handheld-operated, remotely controlled, and unmanned ground vehicle (UGV)-mounted fire control systems, all designed to significantly improve hit probability against both ground and aerial targets, including drones.

Using an onboard computer, Smash technology locks on the target, tracks its movements and synchronises shot release for swift and precise hits. By integrating artificial intelligence, computer vision and advanced algorithms, the Smash family “transforms standard weapons into precise, smart-shooting platforms”, Smartshooter states, adding that the technology “ensures accurate hits, enhances situational awareness and minimises collateral damage, enabling forces to operate with superior precision, intelligence, and connectivity”.

“We are proud to support our partners in the Asia-Pacific region with the most advanced fire control systems available today,” Michal Mor, CEO of Smartshooter, was quoted as saying in a company press release. “This order is a testament to the operational value of the Smash 3000 and its ability to deliver unmatched precision in today’s dynamic battlefield. We look forward to supporting our customer’s evolving operational needs, and we are confident this milestone may pave the way for additional future orders.”
