Saab receives order to supply UTAAS sight and fire control systems for CV90s

Saab has received an order from BAE Systems Hägglunds for more Universal Tank and Anti-Aircraft System (UTAAS) sight and fire control systems for installation in its CV90 infantry fighting vehicles (IFVs), Saab announced on 11 December 2025.
The order is valued at approximately SEK 314 million (EUR million), with deliveries to take place in the 2029-2030 timeframe.
UTAAS is a modular, integrated sight and fire control system used by the CV90, which is currently in service in Sweden, Norway, Switzerland, Finland, the Netherlands, Denmark, Estonia, and Ukraine. The IFV has also been ordered by the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
“The increasing global demand for the CV90 underscores its proven capabilities and reliability on the battlefield. Our long-standing partnership with BAE Systems Hägglunds has enabled us to enhance our production capacity for the UTAAS, ensuring that we can meet the growing needs of our customers”, Carl-Johan Bergholm, head of Saab’s Surveillance business area, was quoted as saying in a company press release.
