Saab has received an order for a Sirius passive sensor system for signals intelligence (SIGINT) and surveillance, including related services, from an unnamed European NATO country, the company announced on 19 December 2025.

The contract is valued at around EUR 130 million, with deliveries to take place up to 2030.

Sirius is Saab’s product family for multi-domain passive surveillance and SIGINT to provide both tactical situational awareness and strategic intelligence gathering. The system can also seamlessly integrates electronic intelligence (ELINT) and communications intelligence (COMINT) sensors from Saab or third parties.

“We are delighted to contribute to enhancing Europe’s and NATO’s capabilities in increasing situational awareness and gathering reliable intelligence,” Carl-Johan Bergholm, head of Saab’s Surveillance business area, was quoted as saying in a company press release. “Understanding one’s surroundings is a crucial prerequisite for decision makers.”
