ESD is happy to announce the magazine received 13 nominations and secured two awards at the 2024 Defence Media Awards (DMAs), held in Washington, DC, on 13 October, along with a further win at the 2024 European Military Press Association (EMPA) awards in Vienna.
ESD Editor-in-Chief Mark Cazalet won the DMA for ‘Best Defence Electronics Submission’ with his article ‘Silent Struggle: Accounts from the Frontlines of Ukraine’s Electronic War’. The same article also picked up the ‘Best Article’ award at the 2024 EMPA Congress awards ceremony.
Meanwhile, ESD News Editor Peter Felstead won the DMA for ‘Best Breaking News Submission’ with his article ‘Eurosatory 2024: Granta Autonomy personally testing its mini-UAVs over Ukraine’s front lines’.
Mark Cazalet commented: “It is very welcome to see our hard work being recognised, and I am extremely grateful to all our contributors and staff, who have worked incredibly hard to make ESD what it is today. I would also like to extend a big well done to everyone who was nominated!”
