RUAG protected both this year’s World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos and the Ukraine Recovery Conference (URC) in Lugano (both Switzerland) against UAV threats, the company writes in a press release. On behalf of the cantonal police of Graubünden and Tessin, RUAG has therefore for the first time deployed its new UAV defence system in a defined perimeter. Together with its partner Fortem, RUAG offers representatives of public authorities a service based on the “System as a Service” approach, which covers all matters from planning and system operation to the final debriefing. According to the company, RUAG is currently the only provider that offers a full care package for UAV defence. The full care package includes detection and control of manually and fully autonomously flying UAVs.
