Dutch tactical vehicle specialist Defenture has secured a contract from the Polish Ministry of National Defence to supply its GRF platform to the Polish armed forces, the company announced on 6 November 2024.

The number of GRF vehicles to be provided and the value of the contract was not disclosed.

“The co-operation with the Polish Defence Force marks an important step in our mission to provide military mobility that meets the highest requirements, now and in the future,” Johan Claassens, Defenture’s chief product officer, was quoted as saying in a company press release. “We are proud that the Polish Defence Force puts their trust in us and that they choose our vehicles. We look forward to realising our shared vision.”

The highly reconfigurable GRF, which has a maximum total weight of 4,600 kg, a length of 5.1 m, a width of 1.8 m and a height of 1.87 m, was designed to be air transportable either inside or underslung from a CH-47 Chinook helicopter.

The GRF has independent equal suspension on all four wheels, while optional four-wheel steering gives it a turning circle of 9 m. The vehicle has fording capabilities of up to 0.86 m and deployability in temperatures from -40°C up to +49°C in an enhanced configuration.

The vehicle has already been ordered for the Dutch, Swiss and Austrian armies.
