At this year’s DEFEA defense exhibition in Athens, IMCO Group went beyond showcasing its technologies by laying the foundation for long-term strategic cooperation throughout Europe and the Balkans.
The Israeli defense integrator, with a well-established operational history alongside the Israel Defense Forces, is now leveraging decades of proven field experience to develop joint ventures with leading armoured vehicle manufacturers in Greece and the surrounding region.
IMCO’s extensive manufacturing capabilities, refined over years of supplying critical components to the IDF’s armoured platforms—even in operational and wartime conditions—provide valuable expertise for European systems integrators. This accumulated know-how enables IMCO to assist in designing resilient manufacturing frameworks that ensure reliable sustainment of European armed forces during periods of conflict. By applying IMCO’s operational insights, European defense partners can strengthen their readiness and lifecycle support strategies in complex battlefield environments.
“European defence organizations are seeking partners who deliver integrated, combat-proven solutions and adaptability,” said Ariel Kandel, CEO of IMCO Group. “Our experience integrating advanced technologies under operational conditions positions us to contribute meaningful operational value aligned with Europe’s security objectives.”
IMCO manufactures a wide array of critical components essential to modern defence platforms, including advanced wiring harnesses, mission-critical power distribution units, and innovative video management systems. These solutions are seamlessly integrated into armoured and tactical vehicles, supporting both vehicle manufacturers and modernisation programmes worldwide.
The company is further investing significantly in the development and deployment of advanced artificial intelligence technologies. Among these innovations is IMCO’s AI-enhanced Health and Usage Monitoring System (HUMS), which provides real-time performance monitoring, predictive maintenance, and full lifecycle management across land, maritime, and aerial platforms. Another key development is the Smart Advanced Video System (SAVS), an AI-driven solution enhancing situational awareness, mission coordination, and in-vehicle decision-making in dynamic operational environments.
“We view the Balkans and wider Europe as key growth markets,” added Yoav Ben-Sem, IMCO’s VP of Marketing. “These countries are modernising their land forces and are open to partnerships that build sustainable, long-term capabilities.”
While IMCO remains firmly rooted in Israel, its expanding international outreach — exemplified by its active presence at DEFEA 2025 — reflects a clear strategic evolution: transitioning from a trusted supplier to a proactive collaborator shaping Europe’s evolving defence industrial landscape.
